It’s the Verizon MiFi 2200, a battery powered router that turns an EV-DO data connection into a portable WIFi hotspot.

oh wow that router is faster than my so called high speed DSL, its over priced and too damn slow, maybe i’ll check out alltel and get a card from them cuz they at least offer unlimited data for mobile boradband. where i live theres only alltel and verizon phones use that as if it was a verizon tower, anyway can mobile bradband work off alltel if i have a verizon card???

I was going to buy this for my iPod Touch, But why does it have to be used only with a cell phone company and not a regular internet company such as Xanadoo, Road Runner, Net Zero, ect. Because if I could get whith my Xanadoo internet and have the bill run with that it would be a lot easier “to me”, than buying it from a hole other company.

Why would they “loose” money if they made unlimited?
August 20, 2009
because someone would use more data than $60 worth ? Like for texting theey make it unlimited because you would have to send tens of thousands of messages just to make verizon (and all other carriers) not make money, which is highley unlikely.

WRONG, for ATT its the SAME EXACT PRICING. $60/5GB What YOUR talking about is a Cell Phone data plan. For verizon, data cost’s $15/ Unlimited data. Also, verizon has the best 3G service in the U.S.

actually since I am using my phone tethered to my laptop write now to write you, and have already used well over 5Gb of information in the past 2 days, you would be in fact WRONG! Oh and I have never gotten charged for going over it, I know I do it every month, I watch Hulu on it all day while at my very cush Job doing nothing but watching videos on Hulu.

I used to work at a Cell phone company that sold both AT&T and Verizon, not to mention a bunch of other services. Verizon sucks if you are in a building for the most part, and yes I will admit they have more 3G towers up than AT&T, but I always have signal, all over the U.S. and in other countries, especially Europe, but it always seems my friends with Verizon can’t get signal in areas I can. Learn your facts, do real world research and not off of a Brochure.

Oh and btw I use both, my company I work for uses Verizon and tends to have issues all the time with connectivity and signal, I don’t with my personal AT&T Phone.
