What Type Of Antenna And Router Do I Need To Start A Wifi Hotspot That Can Do About 2miles?

Would like to start a wifi in my area, been looking at different routers and antennas and not too sure about then.

    Need to look up WiFi Mesh. This is the legal way of doing it. Or if you are doing a point to point WiFi link…its perfectly legal too as long as it is WiFi using 2.4 or 5.8 ghtz.

    You would need a cell phone tower and an 8 foot dish to reach that far. I think you might also need to get a license to broadcast that strong of a signal.

    Not Wifi, but WiMax.

    A 2 mile range for Wi-Fi would NOT be permitted by the FCC.
