What Are The Steps To Go Through To Connnect A Wireless Enabled Computer To A Wifi Hotspot?

Do i need to buy any hardware to be able to connect it to a hotspot could someone please take me through the steps to do this as i am getting a new laptop delivered tomorrow.

yes, you need a wireless adapter or laptop card, unless your PC has wi-fi receiver built in. First search for available wireless networks, via Wireless Zero, select your prefered network, then press connect, when prompted enter the network key or SSID and you should be connected! Are you accessing your own wi-fi or wi fi emitted from someone else?

Nowadays most of the laptops have blue tooth and WiFi buit in.
So no need to buy an adaptor for this purpose.
If you dont have a built in WiFi in your laptop.
Go for a PCMCIA WiFi card -or- USB interface if available.
