How Does Skype Work For The Iphone? Can I Make Free Calls Anywhere When I Am Within A Wifi Hotspot?

I have it installed and have made calls from within wifi spots. Are these totally free no matter who i call?

You can call (and get calls from) other skype users for free. To call a regular land line or cell phone you’ll need to pay a few cents per call (skype credit) or buy a monthly prepaid outgoing subscription. To have a regular land line or cell phone call you, you’ll need a skype online phone number ($30 per year when you buy a yearly prepaid outgoing subscription, about $26; total about $56 per year)

Yes you can call other Skype users for free via Wifi. ATT will not allow you to make VOIP calls using their data network. If you need to call non-Skype numbers, you will need to buy Skype credit or a subscription. This article covers the basics:
